Balm-Boyette II (Balm-Boyette was redacted by jealous, Puritanical twit censors.)

Bike Club Message Board:

Initial Post:

Hey everyone, I'm planning a day trip to Boyette on July 11th. I would like to leave by 7am at the latest and ride most of the day then drive back home and be back by 7ish that night

If you want to go and you can drive and you can carry multiple bikes then let me know. I would like to arrange it so that the drivers don't have to pay for gas in their cars.

I was thinking that between $15-20 per person if there are 3 people to a car should cover the fuel costs.

If anyone has some other ideas, feel free to chime in and let's have some fun. -Don

First Response:

Second Response:

I heard that Balm/Boyette has roots and rocks and many other obstacles that could cause me to lose my balance have a nasty spill. I am mostly looking for a trail wide enough and smooth enough to allow me to ride without tipping over and suffering a painful injury. Is there a place such as this at Balm/Boyette, or is it just a three and a half hour drive to get to heinous gnar waiting to launch me over the bars, racking my nuts on the stem on the way to a vicious scorpion and a 45 minute ambulance ride to the emergency room? Three and a half hour drive, heinous gnar, over the bars, racking my nuts, vicious scorpion, emergency room? Count me in either day. I can still drive. I have a car that can haul four bikes, and four gentlemen and all their pyjamas, but I have yet to find four people at the same time who are: (1) willing to sit in a car with me for three and a half hours to ride gnar, (2) know how to tell, or at least listen to and make witty comments on enough good stories to last three and a half hours, (3) don't insist on playing to f**king MOTORHEAD full blast the whole f**king way, (5) know the difference between good Bar-B-Q and s**t Bar-B-Q, (6) don't have to stop to urinate every forty-five seconds as a result of making poor choices in astronaut stimulant beverages…..You get the point. Round up the usual suspects. -Kent
